Programme overview
Currency markets move by the second, and for any organisation operating across borders, that movement is either managed deliberately or absorbed as an unplanned cost. This masterclass is built around that distinction: you’ll learn to measure FX exposure with real quantitative rigour, choose the right hedging instrument for the right exposure, and defend those choices to a board or auditor who will ask why.
Alongside the technical core — exchange rate theory, VaR, the full derivative toolkit, transaction/translation/economic exposure — you’ll also learn where AI genuinely helps a modern treasury function and where it categorically should not be trusted. Treasury is the one finance function where a wrong move doesn’t just misstate a number; it sends money to the wrong place. So the AI content in this course follows three fiduciary guardrails throughout: AI never moves money, AI never makes the final hedging or investment call, and AI never touches live cash data in a public tool. Within those boundaries, AI-assisted forecasting and scenario modelling can meaningfully speed up your analysis — the decision stays yours.
